The Galloway Star Camp is becoming a very popular Scottish event on the Astronomy Calendar.
We are now taking bookings for this 5 night event starting on Wednesday 28th September 2011.
The change of date from our usual November slot is to still have a New Moon period so you can
enjoy the beautiful dark skies and minimise clashes with other star camps. So a little warmer this
time and we hope even more clear nights.
Drumroamin Farm Camping & Caravan Site. The site is located approx 10 miles south of the
internationally recognised Galloway Forest Dark Sky Park.
Drumroamin covers 5 acres with 20 caravan / tent pitches with electric hook up and a further 30
caravan / tent pitches without electric hook up.
The site has excellent facilities with a modern, spacious, heated shower block - the showers are free of charge. Only
the washing machine and dryer are coin operated. There is an indoor playroom with pool table.
Whatever your interest in the night sky you will find this a perfect place for all forms of visual and imaging astronomy.
The location close to the UK’s only internationally recognised Dark Sky Park has wonderful skies with, uninterrupted
views in all directions.
There is plenty of space to have your equipment next to your pitch.
